We set this group up because we want to make new friends, enjoy walking and found it difficult to find an existing walking group that was dog friendly and not into serious hill walking. We differ from other walking groups in that we always provide walks that are easily accessible by public transport usually within an hour of Edinburgh. Most of our walks are at a more relaxed pace with the emphasis being on fun rather than getting from A to B as quickly as possible and are generally between 4-12 miles in length but low level or small hills mostly and with later starts ie 11am onwards which our members appreciate. And the most important bit - we almost always end our walks with a stop in the pub - tea, coffee, or a pint, your choice! And sometimes an ice-cream on route as well!

We also have a variety of social events on offer, such as ceilidhs, a monthly pub social, and other events in and around Edinburgh.

So if you are new to walking or just looking to get out more with other people and make new friends, improve your level of fitness, or see some new places then come along and join us!

Want to attend?

A medium walk from Cramond along the River Almond, across Cramond Bridge, through Dalmeny estate and into South Queensferry. The walk is about 7m in length and takes some 3 hours. There will be picnic by the beach in case the weather is kind and a nice drink at the Hawes Inn at the end for those who want. Dalmeny estate is open to dogs but they need to be on a lead. Read more
