Dumyat is located at the western end of the Ochil Hills. Although only 418m in height the views from the top are quite amazing over the Forth Valley and beyond.

Weather permitting we will take the more scenic route up. This route up is rather narrow in places and will involve some scrambling but as long as you have a head for heights it should not be too difficult. Some of the sections are very close to a steep drop down so if you suffer from vertigo however little, this is not one for you. Saying this no risks will be taken and if the weather is wet and/or windy the ascent will be made via the route below:

The walk will take approx three hours. Please wear your walking boots and take a pair of gloves to protect your hands on the way up.

As usual drivers please make yourselves known - those of you requiring a lift please contact drivers directly.

Who attended?

    •  beautiful weather, great company and good walk through variety of terrain from sheep tracks to the top and woodland on the way back down.
    •  Great weather, interesting walk, good food at the Farm Shop, enjoyable company
    •  Another great day out, thanks Heidi!
    •  Blairlogie is a ideal spot for a countryside walk. It has it's history and nature. The climb up to Dumyat has amazing views when the weather is clear.
    •  Lovely weather, good laughs (sorry about the screaming Anne) and excellent company! We also learnt about the importance of technical navigation devices and the ability to ask directions from a local postman - they do lead you to your destination eventually - if with a raised blood pressure... Thank you everybody, I really had a fab day.
    •  Hi Guys, I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting you all. See you at the next one. Cheers Stephen
