Ibstone - Northend - Turville - Ibstone

I am looking forward to this one. Suggestions for a meetup, car share point please.....

A lovely walk with many fine, far-reaching views over open countryside, it passes through delightful beech woodland and the Chiltern village of Turville, which is the setting for The Vicar of Dibley. Red kite can frequently be seen on this walk. We will also see the windmill that featured in the film. 'Chitty Chitty Bang bang'. So bring along your cameras.

Most easily reached by car; leave the M40 at Junction 5. Follow signpost for Ibstone. After approximately 2.5 miles look out for a junior school on left. Immediately after, turn right on to single-track road. Park thoughtfully on roadside opposite houses.

Notable landmarks of the 20th and 13th Centuries: the telecommunications tower at the Stokenchurch cutting on the M40 and the 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' windmill at Turville.

Children and well behaved pets are welcome. Car sharing advisable, may I suggest a bit towards petrol or buy lunch for the driver. :o) Well, they can't have a drink :o(

I have entered the County Primary school,  as I there doesn't seem to be a junior school as mentioned in the write up.

One of the reviews I have read about this walk below.

David Hollands : Superb walk - very varied - we stopped at the Crown at Pishill for lunch and the red kites were spectacular throughout the walk but especially at Ibstone.
