White Ranch

This walk will take a little bit of effort compared to what we have been walking. I also predict that it will take longer to hike the 4.5 mile trail (compared to our past walks) because of the elevation gain (1380'). I think a brisk walk with this terrain will most likely be at a pace around 2-2.5 mph. Be sure to bring your cell phone if you plan on scurrying ahead so if you have a problem you can call me. The trails are marked well. Expect to share the trail with horses and mountain bikes. Bring plenty of water and snacks for this one so you don't lose energy when you need it. The trail goes up and down so you will need plenty of energy throughout the hike. I hope that the snow has melted on this trail. If not we may be taking an alternate route but we will still not hike more than 4.5 miles.

If you would like to carpool we can meet at my home and drive up from there. I live near Florida and Havana. We will need to leave by 1 pm sharp in order to be in the White Ranch parking lot by 2 pm.
