After-Work Walk Around the Lake

We usually start walking right at 6:05, and head counter-clockwise around the Lake (e.g., we walk towards E. 14th first, then up to the Lakeshore Library, then around past the bird sanctuary and the boat house).
If you're late, call my cell and I'll tell you where we are, so you can catch up or meet us halfway. I'll send my cell number out to everyone who's RSVPd Yes or Maybe the day before the walk.
There is parking in the lot next to the Camron-Stanford House, in front of the Old Boathouse, as well as on-street.
Our meeting spot is just 4 blocks from 12th Street BART -- just walk straight up 14th 'til you hit the Lake. (Anyone downtown can tell you which direction the Lake is, if you're not sure.) For door-to-door transit directions and schedules, go to 511.org.
This walk is designed with folks who live or work near Lake Merritt in mind.
If the Lake isn't convenient for you, please consider organizing a walk closer to where you live or work. I'm always happy to work with folks to figure out new places to walk in Oakland.
