Meet other local people in their 30's, 40's & 50's who are interested in Walking for fitness!
Not much of a jogger? Me neither. I prefer the relaxation and conversation you gain from walking with a group of friends. Walking in a location with a view, away from the street noise, is a big plus. One of my favorites is Angel Island.
Prefer those who are in relatively good shape (capable of walking at a good pace for at least an hour and able to talk at the same time). If you're not sure, chances are you should visit your doctor first.
Our next MeetupEmeryville Marina Park
We're going to meet at the Emeryville Marina Park (past the Marina building) at the end of Powell Street in Emeryville. Then, we'll walk up to the Emerville Public Market (1.5 miles) and have lunch at the Market's food court. There are lots of ethnic vendors there with varying types of food at very reasonable prices. Then we'll walk back to the Marina Park and maybe take a detour along the waterfront on the Frontage Road. Read more
