Meet other local people in their 30's, 40's & 50's who are interested in Walking for fitness!

Not much of a jogger? Me neither. I prefer the relaxation and conversation you gain from walking with a group of friends. Walking in a location with a view, away from the street noise, is a big plus. One of my favorites is Angel Island.

Prefer those who are in relatively good shape (capable of walking at a good pace for at least an hour and able to talk at the same time). If you're not sure, chances are you should visit your doctor first.

Where?
3300 Bridgeview Isle
Alameda, CA
Who’s coming?
6 Yes / 3 Maybe

Want to attend?

This is really more of a hike, although there are no hills to worry about and the path is entirely paved. We'll meet in Alameda and walk across a bridge to Bay Farm Island. Then the walk will take us around the Shoreline Park path with beautiful views of the Alameda shoreline and San Francisco. After about 2 miles or so, we'll turn into one of the canal paths that run through the center of Bay Farm Island. Read more

Shoreline Park is the most scenic section. The canals through the center of the island have black-crowned night herons, great egrets and snowy egrets, coots, cormorants, and canvasback, bufflehead and mallard ducks.
