This is a dog friendly group for women in Palo Alto who would like to walk early weekday mornings before work and support each other to lose weight. We will do easy to moderate 2-3 mile walks at a steady pace and go faster when the group gets more fit and feels ready. I have found that having walking partners and a support group is very helpful to establish getting up and out and establish a routine. The vision for this group is to walk 3-4 times a week between 7:00-8:00 a.m. in the South Palo A …

Some of us are pretty serious runners and are training to improve our times. Most of us participate in a race once in a while. I encourage wome …

If you'd like to make some new friends while getting a little exercise, this group is for you. As of now, I plan on scheduling walks for at least once a week (early enough in the day to end before dark). This schedule could expand to additional days or short weekend hikes (probably on Sunday afternoons) if there is enough interest and participat …

Meet other local people in their 30's, 40's & 50's who are interested in Walking for fitness! Not much of a jogger? Me neither. I prefer the relaxation and conversation you gain from walking with a group of friends. Walking in a location with a view, away from the street noise, is a big plus. One of my favorites is Angel Island. Prefer those who are in relatively good shape (capable of walking at a good pace for at least an hour and able to talk at the same time). If you're not sure, chances are …

All dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes or long lines), and everyone must be respectful of each others pets and avoid leash greeting your dog(s) without asking owner's permission. …
